Resource: Tasty Recipes on a Budget

May 17, 2016

Eatfresh.org is a great source for recipes on a budget

This website is funded by the USDA and a SNAP Education grant. There are excellent recipes searchable by ingredients, kid-friendly dishes for families, low-sugar recipes for those managing chronic conditions with diet as well as vegetarian and crock-pot options. Users can rate recipes with a thumbs up and make comments about the final dish.

This is the eatfresh.org version of a tuna-apple salad with raisins. As you can see, whole foods, fruits and vegetables as well as leafy greens are emphasized.

We also really like that the ingredients, materials needed, prep time, cook time and nutrition analysis are all available at a glance right up front.

There are interactive buttons that allow you to double or halve the meal depending on your serving size needs. It's a handy feature if you're planning meals and want some leftovers, cooking for a crowd or just for a couple people.

Adjustable ingredients, recipe, materials and nutrition analysis all at glance!

Check out eatfresh.org today and sample some of their recipes, you'll be glad you did!
