The "We Can" program from the United States Department of Health and Human services has developed this simple resource sheet for learning how to read a food label. 

The sheet breaks down commonly confused topics related to nutrition labels, such as how a serving size on a label is not necessarily a portion size, daily values, and calories in a food product. Learning how to read a label is a valuable tool to understanding why a food may or may not be good to eat regularly.
