Join us in The Kitchen for four days of summer fun!
Monday, June 26th - Thursday, June 29th. 2 pm to 4 pm. Ages 8 - 12.
Day 1: Take a dip! Take a ride on the blender bike and make your own hummus dip! Try some delectable fruit in homemade yogurt, and make fun freezer taquito snacks!
Day 2: Cruise the Mediterranean! Snack on some chicken pita pockets with homemade tzatziki sauce. Enjoy some Greek cuisine with a healthful quinoa salad!
Day 3: Vacation in Italy! Vacation on the coast of Italy for dinner! Make your own turkey meatballs and homemade pasta sauce!
Day 4: Lounge on a 'Dessert' Island! Cool down with some chocolate banana frozen yogurt! Top is off with a delicious lentil cookie!

The Kitchen at Second Harvest provides nutrition information, scratch cooking skills, budgeting, and more to people in our community who need a little help getting good food on their table and preparing it in an easy, healthful way. When you give people skills and hope along with food, you allow them to look past hunger and toward self-sufficiency. Your support of Second Harvest cooking classes allows our neighbors experiencing hardship to also enjoy a fun, kitchen learning experience at no cost. It's a win-win; you enjoy a hands-on culinary adventure and help move others from hunger to health!
By attending kitchen classes and events, you understand that you may be photographed, filmed, or videotaped and you hereby give Second Harvest the unqualified right to take pictures and/or recordings of you and grant the perpetual right to use your likeness, image, photo (collectively, “image”), without compensation, for broadcast or exhibition in any medium and to put the finished pictures/recordings to any legitimate use without limitation or reservation.
