Raw Foods Class Series with Chef Sarah Lorraine Edwards
In this series you'll learn the basics of a plant based raw foods diet, a diet full of whole, living foods. These hands on classes will give you the knowledge and confidence to make a variety of quick, simple, and delicious recipes. June 3rd 11-12:30 Green Smoothies, Nut Milk, and Sprouts
Learn how to make smoothies that are not only delicious but incredibly nutritious. In this class you'll also learn how to make nut milk at home and how to grow your own sprouts.
July 5th 5:30-7 Tacos and Veggie Wraps
Learn how to make delicious dips! These are great in wraps or on their own as a vegetable dip. We'll also make "nut meat" and fresh salsa for raw tacos.
July 12th 5:30-7 Soups!
In this class we'll make a variety of refreshing gazpacho soups, soups prepared without heat and served cold. The three soups we'll be making and enjoying are Pineapple Cucumber Gazpacho, Watermelon Gazpacho, and Tomato Gazpacho. The perfect foods for a hot summer day!
July 19th 5:30-7 Quick and Easy Treats
Yum! These desserts taste amazing, and they're actually good for you! We'll try our hands at Chocolate Mousse, Carob Bars, and Fruit Cobbler.
July 26th 5:30-7 Kimchi
Fermentation 101 with guest teacher and kimchi master Wakan Zion Burrows
In this class you'll learn the basics of fermenting vegetables to make sauerkraut and kimchi. You'll help in the process and go home with a quart of kimchi!
