Join us in The Kitchen for Four Days of Summer Fun!
Monday through Thursday,August 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Ages 8 - 12
Kids will learn how to cook amazing recipes, knife skills, kitchen safety and cleanliness, and of course have fun! Kids will eat what they make and take home recipes for their creations! For more insight into kids classes, check out THIS VIDEO. Sign up includes all four days!
IMPORTANT TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Day 1: Stir Fry! Sizzle up some scrumptious Schezwanese (Chinese) as we make our own stir fry!
Day 2: Snack Pack Stations! Learn how to prepare tasty healthy snacks like No Bake Granola Bites and hop on the Smoothie Bike!
Day 3: Dessert! Cinnamon Rolls and Popsicles Come create a sweet treat! Make whole grain cinnamon rolls and real fruit popsicles!
Day 4: Fiesta! Chips and Salsa Get ready to party with some homemade chips and salsa!
The Kitchen at Second Harvest provides nutrition information, scratch cooking skills, budgeting, and more to people in our community who need a little help getting good food on their table and preparing it in an easy, healthful way. When you give people skills and hope along with food, you allow them to look past hunger and toward self-sufficiency. Your support of Second Harvest cooking classes allows our neighbors experiencing hardship to also enjoy a fun, kitchen learning experience at no cost. It's a win-win; you enjoy a hands-on culinary adventure and help move others from hunger to health!
By attending kitchen classes and events, you understand that you may be photographed, filmed, or videotaped and you hereby give Second Harvest the unqualified right to take pictures and/or recordings of you and grant the perpetual right to use your likeness, image, photo (collectively, “image”), without compensation, for broadcast or exhibition in any medium and to put the finished pictures/recordings to any legitimate use without limitation or reservation. You hereby waive, release and forever discharge Second Harvest from and against any and all claims or actions arising out of or resulting from any use of your image. Thank you.
Cancellation Policy: Due to staff time and purchasing of product we are unable to reimburse payment upon cancellation within 72 hours. Also, we are no longer able to move cancellations to future classes. We apologize for any inconvenience.
