This time of year, there’s an abundance of zucchini around, so it’s easy to get tired of your go-to zucchini recipes. But with a little creativity, we can make zucchini an ingredient in almost any meal… even breakfast! Join us in the Kitchen this week to make zucchini blueberry pancakes. This recipe is not only a delicious way to start your day, but it also packs an extra nutritional punch by adding a whole new food group to a traditional American breakfast!‚Äč
In this class we will review knife and basic preparation skills needed to cook a variety of dishes at home focusing on ingredients available at your local food bank. Then we jump into an hour or more of hands on cooking.
This is a hands on class, please wear closed-toed comfortable shoes and tie long hair back. Also, bring containers to take home any extra food.
This class is for adults but teenagers may attend with a parent or guardian present. Minimum age for these classes is 13 years old.
Please arrive to class 10 minutes early and enter the main lobby at the East end of the Second Harvest building.
